Omega Gospel Ministries
Missions Dept.
How do we support
missions work in Africa.
|
Understanding the urgency of the times and season in
which we live, I believe that we now live in the last days, more than
ever before. We at Omega Gospel Ministries do not relent her efforts to be
relevant to our community with the message of the
great commission. We do understand that Christ came and abolished the law and we
now live by grace, but before he went away he left us with one commandment as
recorded in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach
the gospel to all …......”
Supporting missions work in Africa is our heart pit. The brethren and
partners of Omega Ministries have great passion to see the Gospel
preached in Africa. Understanding the fact that means of transportation is
a measure hindrance in the preaching of the Gospel in Africa, we at Omega
Ministries did gave our best to see this problems solved. The mission's
department of our Church thought it will be better that a structure be set in place that
will help us reach the world for Jesus. The Church did accepted to sponsor
missions work around the world through members of all the eight different
nations of the world represented at Omega Houston.
Our first
country to sponsor missions work was Malawi in East Africa. Working with the
Assemblies of God Church we help complete their Church building and bought
three (3) bicycles to help with transportation of the pastors to take
the Gospel into remote areas of Malawi.
Here below are pictures from the work done
in the nation of Malawi
East Africa.

Medical Mission to Cameroon
Considering the demand of
the great commission and the words of Christ in Matt 24: 14 that Says this
gospel of the Kingdom most be preached to all the world as a testimony before
the end shall come, Omega Gospel Ministries undertook her first Medical
Mission / Missionary trip to African in the nation of Cameroon last Dec. 2006.
Working in collaboration with the African Christian Fellowship USA, Omega
Ministries Houston let a team of more than ten missionaries
from the US to the city of Bamenda in the NW province of Cameroon for a week
of Free Medical Mission / Gospel Healing crusade. In her last Dec, trip to Cameroon the team in, 5 days consulted and dispensed medication to over
1,414 people. The administered surgeries to 10
patients
and conducted a free HIV AIDS screening to 100 people with 9 positive who where
directed to go for treatment at the Batibo district hospital. |

During
this Free Medical Mission we worked in collaboration with the
Cameroon Ministry of Public Health. By the grace of God, when it came to our
knowledge that a dialysis machine was a desperate need for the N.W.P
and Cameroon as whole, we decided to donate
one to
the
North West Provincial Hospital in Bamenda.
This we were told will be the 1st ever in the English speaking Cameroon, and
the 3rd in
the nation of Cameroon a country with about 16 million people.
This news was well
received and appreciated by the delegate for public health in Bamenda,
however he did express the concern for financial help for the donation to
come through.
It is on that note that we at Omega Gospel Ministries wish to plead for
your financial support of any amount to transport the machine from
Nigeria to Bamenda and also for us to help the hospital install and put to
use this machine. Dearly beloved this is really an emergency due to the fact
that at the moment the are people suffering in Cameroon who need your help.
All we need is the sum of $. 5000.oo Please Kindly help us get this machine
to these needy people. All your donations should be made to Omega Gospel
Ministries (for dialysis machine.) Our address is @ 8001. S.
Kirkwood F/G, Houston TX 77072. Thanks for donating.
Much thanks
to the authorities of the Batibo District hospital, the Delegation of Public
Health in Bamenda and the Ministry of Public health in Cameroon for
their support to the success of the Dec 2006 Free medical program.
Thanks very much and May
God bless you richly. |
