About Omega Gospel Ministries.

It is doubtful that two sisters who met with 'brother' Toby and sister Jeannette in front of Spring Road Church of God of Prophecy in Washington, DC in the summer of 1997 envisioned an Omega institution like the one we have today. It all began when two sisters expressed their frustration in trying to find a place of worship in America.

Rev Toby Awasum, an evangelist, at the time weighed the concern and invited them to come fellowship with him at the Church of God of Prophecy on Spring Road, Washington, DC. As they continued to worship at Spring Road and as their number increased, the need for a home bible studies that would tailor to their specific needs arose. These brethren approached brother Toby one Sunday afternoon after church and asked if he could teach them how to pray and grow in the Lord.

The families involved were very young and were experiencing a lot of early marriage problems and desired to know how to face these spiritually. Without hesitation he accepted and at the request of brother Toby, pastor William granted permission for him to lead the bible studies. The brethren had no cars and could not drive so the most logical place to hold the bible studies was in one of the brethren's house. At this time, sister Edith Tingen opted to host us. As dedicated and committed as brother Toby and his wife are, they drove every Friday evening from Germantown to Hyattsville to pray with us and teach bible studies.

This eventually evolved to what was called "Better Homes & Marriages". The aim of this study was to help us improve on our family and marital lives through prayer and the Word of God. It eventually did more than just "better our homes and marriages". Some who came by invitation soon discovered the truth of God's Word and received their Salvation from God.

The group kept increasing as people received Truth, received Christ and improved their homes and marriages. By 1998, the Lord had clearly revealed to brother Toby the path that He was leading him. On Saturday October 3, 1998, brother Toby made a bold declaration that God was leading us to start a Church at 6210 Chillum Place NW the following day. On October 4, with just thirteen people, the vision gave birth to what is now known as Omega Gospel Mission.

She has supported other churches, ministries and men and women of God in the passion to win souls for Christ. Omega has preached the Gospel by being the Gospel. She has supported kingdom work beyond recognition on worldwide bases. This humble beginning has branched out to other locations in the US and worldwide

Omega Houston is born

By the grace of God, 3 year after we were privilege to begin another assembly  of Omega Ministries in Houston TX under the able leadership of Bro, Victor Njei.

Omega Houston, what a time for you to come in to our Houston community. Dec 9th 2001 saw the launching of Omega Gospel Ministries Houston. We want to thank the Lord for the Vision and for what God has been using Pastor Victor N. Mbah to do.

Before you came to town many families in our community where breaking apart due to their lack of knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. But upon your coming many have received the Lord Jesus in their lives. Many in our community have been translated from the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God.

By this the bounds of enmity in our community were broken, giving way to the Kingdom lifestyle where we can now see love, peace, forgiveness and reconciliation being  the order of the day. Through you Omega, many in our community can now have a sense of direction in life as they discover their God given purposes and destinies in life. Many have also received miracles from your preaching and have experienced healings in their bodies, wombs have been made fertile, curses broken, businesses have flourished, academic favors received and many more levels of God prosperity on the community.  Thank you very much Omega Houston and may God continue to bless you.

However we still have work to do. As the Lord adds faithful men and women to your number, be sure that He will finish the good work He began in you. We are workers together with Him. Now, you the reader, have you passion for the lost? Come on and join this end time ministry let us wine the lost for Jesus. "We charge like warriors [for lost souls]; we scale walls [for the lost] like men of war do; we march in line; we do not break rank; we do not push one another; we fall on swords

What we believe.

Definition of believe: To accept to be true, to hold on to an opinion, or to have a strong conviction about something.

The Holy Bible

If we follow the definition of believe cited above, then there is the fear that stating any tenets of faith will presuppose that we do not believe the Bible to its entirety. To this we say NO.

We believe the entire Bible from the first word in Genesis (In the beginning....) to the last word in Revelation (....Amen) is God's inspired Word.. We are cautioned by the same bible to Not add or take away any portion of it (Rev. 18 & 19). Knowing this, we suggest that you read these tenets only as key points in the life of a believer –who has to “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you...” (1Peter 3:15) The entire bible is a template on which the life of every believe is supposed to be build.

About God:

We believe that that there is only one Person in the universe—God, The “All in all”—and that therefore the whole universe, things or people, is nothing but dependent, derivative forms of the “in all” of “ God All in all.”. We further believe that this God is a Spirit and since the spirit is invisible, God purpose has always been to manifest His invisible Self in visible form or forms hence the need for incarnation. (1Cor.12:6, 15:28 & Eph. 1:23)

About Jesus Christ:

Though the son of God, Jesus Christ is co-equal with the Father so Him and the Father are one and inseparable. Jesus is the Word of God who became flesh for the restoration of mankind. He is the only mediator bringing God to man through incarnation and taking man to God through His resurrection. He is also called the last Adam because he was able to do what the first Adam could not do. He laid down his life for us that we aught also to do same for our brethren (John 3:16, I John 3:16, John1:4)

Holy Spirit:

It is co-equal with the Father and the Son and is a Person. We believe that the holy Spirit lives within every born again believer to direct us with our daily work with Christ. To every believer the Holy Spirit is a teacher, comforter and above all an intercessor. (II Cor. 3:17, John 16:7-13, Acts 1:8, Gal.5:25)

Salvation:

Sin entered the world through one man —first Adam and God had to send Jesus Christ —last Adam to restore that which was lost. With the fall of the first Adam, every human fell and without regeneration, man was doomed without hope but through Christ, man has the hope of glory. Salvation therefore can be obtained only by the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and personal savior into the heart of every believer. It is a free gift but required a choice by every individual who wants to live eternal life. Because Jesus Christ is our Life, only through him can we boast of any assurance of eternal life. Salvation does not just mean that God Sends Jesus to forgive my past but also that He has to become Lord over my present and future hence Jesus Christ my Life. (Rom. 5:12-15, Col 1:27 & 3:4, Rom.3:23 & 6:23, Act 2: 20-22)

About Human:

The human was created out of God's image for the sole purpose of representing Him-God on earth. God therefore expresses his divine nature by His Son (Christ) and sons —all believers. We are that family of foreordained sons in whom He fixedly expresses Himself in our human forces. This is the developing history of the human race, right up to it's completion as the divine-human brotherhood. And by this completion, made actual in Him, we humans may now know who we really are, expressed in Paul's revelation of the mystery of Christ in you, the hope of glory. We are all complete in Him, each fulfilling His love-purpose by and as us in our generation. (Gen 1: 27, Col. 1:24-29)
